Demers Contracting Services Ltd began operations in 1996. The company’s roots date back to the 1930’s in Fort McMurray. The Founder and President, Hector (Mickey) Demers, has developed the organization from a small services supplier to a significant contractor in the Fort McMurray region. 

We have grown!

Our company is equipped to serve the emerging markets in the Fort McMurray Region. Our customers include the growing number of new SAGD (Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage) Projects, conventional oil and gas exploration, and the traditional Oil Sands Mining developments. We also serve the regions’ second largest industry, Forestry. 

Demers Contracting Services Ltd is 100% aboriginal and locally (Fort McMurray) owned.  We are members of the following organizations: Northeastern Alberta Aboriginal Business Association (NAABA), Alberta Construction Safety Association, Fort McMurray Chamber of Commerce, Better Business Bureau and the Workers Compensation Board.

We were extremely proud to have been chosen for Business of the Year by the Chamber of Commerce in 2001. 

 We are a CanQual Inc and Alberta Construction Safety Association “Certificate of Recognition” Certified Company.
